Policy Research Associates, Inc. (PRA) is seeking to fill a part-time (20 hours a week) Human Resources Assistant position. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, supporting the Human Resources Director with a strong emphasis on administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep processes running smoothly, maintain accurate records, and provide general office support. While this position sits within the HR team, the majority of responsibilities will be administrative in nature.
This position is remote, and therefore subject to PRA’s remote employee/telework policy. Travel to PRA’s offices in the Capital Region of NY (Albany/Troy) required twice per year. The normal work week is Monday through Friday, with meetings held during typical business hours (9am – 5pm ET).
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director
- Assist with document management, recordkeeping, and reporting
- Assist with onboarding logistics and administrative coordination, including preparing paperwork and scheduling
- Help schedule meetings, interviews, and training sessions
- Respond to general employee inquiries and route questions as appropriate
- Prepare correspondence and other documents as needed
- Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous administrative experience required; exposure to HR functions is a plus but not necessary
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- AI-forward mindset with comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to streamline administrative work
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively with remote team members across time zones and communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
- Comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day tasks with support from the HR Director
- Adaptable and eager to learn new processes and systems
- Strong time management skills
Salary Range:
This remote position is part-time, with a salary range of $50,000-$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
