This webinar is the third installment in the four-part Enhancing Personal Capacity for Wellness series. In this webinar, speakers Johanna Bergan, of Youth M.O.V.E. National, and Cathy Cave, from the Program to Achieve Wellness, discuss building a supportive culture of wellness in the workplace. All employees have a role to play in fostering a culture of wellness at their place of work, one that encourages personal wellness and reduces the likelihood of burnout or crisis. Organizations that have a strong foundation for a culture of wellness have a strong community, shared values, and a positive outlook.

Organizations that effectively support wellness foster an inclusive culture where everyone has a role. Ideas are encouraged from any level of the company as opposed to strictly from the top down. Wellness is for everyone, and everyone is deserving of support. Establishing and maintaining workplace wellness may require the development and implementation of policies and procedures with employees and stakeholders to meet the specific needs of the organization. Some practices include allowing flexibility, opening avenues of communication, establishing accountability measures, and recognizing individual limitations and strengths. When all employees are in a place of personal wellness, the workplace benefits.
