Ben Barrowman, MBA

Ben has been a Senior Project Associate with SAMHSA’s SMVF TA Center at Policy Research Associates, Inc. (PRA) since 2020 and was hired as a Project Associate II in 2018. He is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of project activities including meetings, workshops, training institutes and technical assistance, and information gathering and dissemination. Mr. Barrowman’s years of education and business experience have provided him with a skill set allowing him to effectively operate and coordinate various projects simultaneously. In previous roles, Mr. Barrowman was a Financial Analyst at Ayco, a Goldman Sachs Company. He served in the Management Group as an operational leader, responsible for regulatory and federal Department of Labor requirements – working closely with technology and compliance divisions. Outside of work, Ben has a passion for healthy living and wellbeing. He published his first children’s book in the Parmesan Pig Book Series in May 2022, which are centered around themes of mental health, wellbeing, friendship, and social-emotional learning. Additionally, Ben dedicates himself to the local Diabetes fundraisers – including the American Diabetes Tour De Cure, previously serving as a team captain, corporate spokesman, and member of the executive committee. Being a Type-1 Diabetic himself, he emphasizes routine exercise and maintains a healthy diet, including an alcohol-free tobacco-free lifestyle. Mr. Barrowman received his master’s degree in Business Administration from The College of Saint Rose in 2007, and his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, with a Physics Minor, from Stonehill College in 2005. Growing up in Bethlehem, he takes pride working and living in his hometown, with his wife and two young children.
