Installation Instructions

Please note that this software requires and works in conjunction with Microsoft Access 2000, 2002, 2003, or 2007.

Determine which version of Microsoft Access your machine is running. This can be done by opening Access, going into the “help” menu, and selecting “About Microsoft Access.”
Download the installer file for your version of Access to your desktop by right-clicking on the filename link, selecting “save target as”, and choosing your desktop (the links for the installer files can be found in the "Download Links" section at the bottom of this page).
Double-click on the installer file that you saved on your desktop to launch the installer.
The installer will tell you that there are 2 products available: SOAR Data Tracking Program 3.0 and SOAR Data Consolidation Program 3.0. (see "Program Descriptions" for details). Choose the product that you would like to install and follow the on-screen instructions. After installing one product, you will be taken back to the product menu so that you have a chance to install the other product if you do desire.
When you have completed your installations, exit the installer using the button provided.
After exiting the installer, you can delete the installer file from your desktop.

Important Note About Installation
When you choose to install the SOAR Data Tracking Program, you will be given two options:

New installation
This option should be used ONLY if you have never installed a previous version of the program on your machine.
Upgrade
If you have installed a previous version, be sure to use the “Upgrade” option. Upgrading rather than doing a new installation will keep any data from an old version of the program. If you do have any data stored in an existing version of the program, you may lose that data if you do a new installation.

Notes about program security
If you used the “security settings” in an old version of the program to restrict access to it with a password, you’ll have to set the password again after you upgrade. The installer will remove your old security settings.

SOAR Data Tracking Program – Update Patch 1
Due to the fact that a few minor changes were recently made to the SOAR Data Form, we are releasing Update Patch 1 for the SOAR Data Tracking Program. The patch is intended for use by those who downloaded and installed Version 3 of the SOAR Data Tracking Program on or prior to 12/29/09. Downloading and running this patch will automatically replace the older version of the SOAR Data Form that was included in the original SOAR Data Tracking Program Version 3 installation package with the new version of the SOAR Data Form. Please note that if you did not download a SOAR Data Tracking Program installer from the SOAR web site prior to 12/30/09, you do NOT need to download and run this patch. The software installer files were rebuilt to include the new form and the old installer files that were previously available were replaced.

SOAR Data Tracking Program –Update Patch 2

Intended ONLY for users who UPGRADED to Version 3.0 on or prior to 12/29/09. (Not intended for any NEW installations nor for any upgrades installed on or after 12/30/09).

A small glitch was found that some of you may have noticed: the “User ID” field in the “site settings” section of the program was locked and did not allow the entry of a number. This patch will automatically fix the problem when it is downloaded and run.
